Tess Payne LPN, CCHP brings a diverse background in correctional health care, emergency medicine, and public service to her current role in juvenile corrections. She began her career in emergency medicine, where she developed expertise in acute patient care and crisis response before transitioning into correctional nursing. Tess has served in multiple capacities within government, giving her a unique perspective on how policy, practice, and health care intersect in secure environments. She also holds a degree in Communications, which she has leveraged to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, enhance patient education, and support staff training. With experience spanning frontline nursing, local and state government, and cross-agency work, Tess is committed to advancing trauma-informed, evidence-based care for justice-involved youth.
