Health care in corrections can be challenging since security concerns often take precedence over health care goals. Concerns can arise over capacity and competency, informed consent and informed refusal, confidentiality and privacy, and dual loyalty. Using case studies, this session will provide guidance in ethical principles and concepts to assist in decision making and ultimately, build confidence in your practice.
