Description

The stress of working in jails affects our thoughts, feelings, health, and relationships. At work, we feel overwhelmed, leading to apathy, carelessness, unprofessional conduct, and increased absence. Outside of work, we experience strained relationships, increased substance use, negative ruminations, and significant health and mental health problems. Together, we will explore how to reconnect with our better selves, bolster resilience, and find our way back to taking care of ourselves while working effectively with others.
