Dr. Nancy K. Bohl-Penrod is the director of The Counseling Team International (TCTI), which provides counseling, critical incident stress management, peer support training, and consultation services to more than 100 public safety agencies throughout the nation. She received her master's degree in counseling/education from CSUSB and her marriage and family therapist license because she wanted to teach and help law enforcement families.  A few years later she received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She has been a guest speaker on subjects related to peer support and wellness for agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs, the United Nations Security Police, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and the California Fire Chief's Association. Dr. Bohl-Penrod is known for her five-day Basic Peer Support and Critical Incident Stress Management training that TCTI has taught to over 12,000 first responders throughout the United States and Canada. She is a past president of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Psychological Services Section (PSS) and she is presently the vice-chair of the National Sheriff's Association Psychological Services Section.  She serves as the educational chair and is one of the founders of the Public Safety Peer Support Association (PSPSA).  Nancy also helped a team of clinicians create the Public Safety Peer Support/Supervisor Coach app found on Google and iTunes. She received the FBI Director's Exceptional Service in the Public Interest award for her work with first responders after 9/11.
