Dr. H. Lynn Starr is the group medical director, Schizophrenia Area Lead for Janssen Neuroscience US Medical Affairs.  She holds overall medical leadership for schizophrenia and related areas, ensuring aligned evidence generation with advances in patient care in the evolving health care landscape by supporting Janssen's continued engagement with psychiatry, health policy, advocacy, and health care quality decisionmakers. She has developed innovative programs for Janssen to impact disease state knowledge and the adoption of accepted clinical practice in under-represented minorities and is the Medical Affairs lead for Janssen's Americas Patient Engagement Leadership Team. She has designed and implemented novel clinical trials and led Janssen Neuroscience's first Real World Evidence trial in schizophrenia, playing a key role in the sNDA submission and subsequent USPI inclusion of these data. A pediatrician with specialization in behavioral & developmental pediatrics, Lynn has professional experience across consultation, clinical practice and faculty roles in the area of pediatric primary care and child development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Lehigh University and a Doctor of Medicine from The Medical College of Pennsylvania.  She completed a residency through the University of Maryland Medical System and a Behavioral-Developmental Pediatrics fellowship through The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, National Medical Association, Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, and she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Starr was appointed to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consensus Conference on Conflicts of Interest and served on the review committees for the Partnership for a Healthier America's Catalyst for Change Awards and The Academic Pediatric Association's New Century (NC) Scholars Program. Her volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Directors for Public Citizens for Children & Youth and membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Dr. Starr has authored several publications and is the recipient of numerous Johnson & Johnson Awards.
