Description

While insurers, in-house legal departments, and defense lawyers are intimately familiar with the evaluation whether to settle a case or risk a verdict, the named provider defendants, who are most impacted by the decision, are often left out of the strategic discussions. Participants will learn the important factors that go into evaluation of settlement, who acts as decision makers, and the rights of the named party.

  • Analyze the factors that that play into the decision to settle or try a case
  • Articulate the rights of a named defendant to participate in and consent to a settlement decision
