Poster 5 Mental Health and Its Relationship to Economic Stability, Education, Health, and Treatment Facilities
Description

Poor mental health is frequently associated with socioeconomic risk factors, a combination that increases risk for morbidity. Smaller studies previously investigated the impact of social determinants of health, but not many large-scale, state-level studies exist for identifying these predictors of mental health. A retrospective study assessed the relationship between mental health and SDOH. Poor mental health was associated with higher levels of incarceration, poverty, poor health, food stamps, and lack of education and internet access.
