Ms. Mary McCaffity serves as the deputy director for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Victim Services Division, providing corrections-based victim services that include victim notification, hotline, victim offender dialogue, criminal justice system accompaniment, and training statewide to criminal justice and victim services professionals.  She previously served as the manager of the Victim Notification Section and the supervisor of the Texas Crime Victim Clearinghouse. Prior to her work at VSD, Ms. McCaffity administered Victims of Crime Act and Violence Against Women Act grant funding at the Office of the Governor of Texas as the STOP violence against women coordinator and the victim services strategic planner. She has also worked as a legislative liaison and policy coordinator for the Texas Department of State Health Services and the grant coordinator for the City of Cedar Park, Texas. She serves as the treasurer of the National Association for Victim Assistance in Corrections.  Ms. McCaffity received her master's degree from Texas State University and her bachelor's s degree from Schreiner University.
