Dr. Larry Martinez is a tenured medical science liaison (MSL) and lead trainer for Janssen Neuroscience US Medical Affairs, MSL Team. He is responsible for field-based medical education in the areas of schizophrenia and mood disorders. He coordinates and leads the efforts of a field-based team that delivers clinician to clinician therapeutic area and product focused education to physicians and researchers in many setting from private practice to universities.
He has worked on the development of innovative resources for Janssen to impact disease state knowledge to better understand areas including continuity of care, pharmacology, and pharmacokinetics. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Colorado, and a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Colorado Health Sciences. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the College of Psychiatric and Neurological Pharmacists and The New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Martinez received board certification from the Medical Science Liaison Society (MSL-BC). His volunteer work includes mentoring Pharm D candidates for the University of Colorado, College of Pharmacy, and serving on the Board of Directors Colorado Pharmacists Society. Dr. Martinez has authored several publications and is the recipient of numerous Johnson & Johnson Awards.
