Description
This presentation highlights the advancement of rehabilitative education using nursing-led therapeutic group (NLTG) programming, conducted by California Correctional Health Care Services within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Statewide, NLTGs are actively delivering standardized and structured education and tools to support incarcerated persons in tackling their unique challenges and experiences, including various disease processes, social and behavioral triggers, and tools to positively impact their health behaviors now and in the future.
