The Inland Empire Health Plan, the largest Medicare-Medicaid plan in the country, is transforming care delivery to California’s incarcerated population by increasing urologic access via electronic consultation (eConsult), a web-based, asynchronous, provider-specialist consult and patient comanagement system. Using eConsult data, this poster reports the first characterization of patient urologic needs. One correctional system had nearly all urologic eConsults resolved (86%) without in-person referrals, with urologist response time less than 0.5 day.
