Description

Eliminating hepatitis C within the World Health Organization framework on Global Health Sector Strategy on viral hepatitis would require that most incarcerated individuals have access to treatment, so it is important to understand treatment acceptance within prisons and ways to enhance it. This study set out to understand the level of acceptance of hepatitis C treatment offered to incarcerated individuals in the New Mexico prison system, as well as strategies to improve acceptance.
