Dr. Jeffrey Alvarez is the chief medical officer for NaphCare. In this role, he oversees all clinical care, serves as the clinical liaison with the information technology department for NaphCare’s electronic health records, and oversees peer review, policy development, and centralized quality control and compliance with the company’s proactive care model, which is aligned with NCCHC standards. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Alvarez chaired the 2018 revisions of NCCHC Standards, and is a physician surveyor for the accreditation program. Dr. Alvarez has also worked at a community opioid treatment center providing medication-assisted therapy to those suffering from substance use disorder.
