Mrs. Katie Schmidt has 14 years of experience working in correctional health care, serving in many development and leadership roles throughout her tenure. After completing a BA from Washburn University with a minor in criminal justice, she completed a BSN program. Having worked directly with adult men and women and male and female adolescents, Mrs. Schmidt has served in progressive leadership roles throughout Centurion's health care contracts for the Kansas Department of Corrections. In 2020, Katie transitioned into statewide leadership and has served as a continuous quality improvement coordinator, director of operations, and most recently as regional manager for Centurion of Kansas.
