Dr. Katrina Weilbacher's original career goal was to help incarcerated individuals reach their potential and to have an impact where the justice system was unable to. After 10 years, she made the leap into the world of quality improvement. She now works proactively to fix systems, improve programs, and shift institutionalization. For the past 10 years, she has worked for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and with hospitals in the Department of State Hospitals. She has a degree in racial studies, and a master's and doctorate in clinical/forensic psychology. She is certified as a trainer and a green belt in Lean Six Sigma and is an expert on verbal de-escalation techniques.
