Dr. Justin Berk is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, pediatrics, and addiction medicine. He is an assistant professor at the Alpert Medical School at Brown University. In this role, he provides clinical education to students and trainees, has received 3 NIH grants for the study of correctional health and addiction, and has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles related to clinical medicine, addiction, and correctional health care in New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, Academic Medicine, and other high-impact journals. He is the current director for the Center for Health and Justice Transformation at the Brown University Health Community Health Institute and the co-medical director for the Project Weber Renew Harm Reduction Center. Clinically, he supports resident training in the Brown Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency training program and cares for patients with addiction in the Center for Primary Care Recovery Clinic.
