Dr. Francis Ysla serves as president and chief psychiatrist for Liberty Healthcare, specializing in serious mental illness and competency restoration in sheriff’s department jail systems throughout California, including San Diego, San Bernardino, San Mateo, and Riverside counties. Outside of his interests in correctional psychiatry, Dr. Ysla dedicates time as medical director to the addictions division for a local nonprofit organization focusing on underserved minority populations, as well as staff psychiatrist for one of the country’s top-funded federally qualified health centers.
