Good oral health care is essential for preventing and controlling systemic diseases like hypertension and diabetes. Providing adequate dental care in jails promotes health equity. This poster highlights the importance of timely treatment for acute dental issues to prevent poor long-term control of systemic diseases, leading to reduced quality of life, increased morbidity, and added strain on health care infrastructure.
