401 The Promise and Problems of Immunotherapy for Cancer*
Description

Immunotherapy is an important part of cancer therapy, but it can produce a wide range of unique toxicities, some of which can be life-threatening. The correctional provider needs to promptly identify and grade immune toxicity and work in conjunction with the treating oncologist to modify the treatment plan. This talk will review the basic concepts of immunotherapy as well as the common acute and chronic toxicities of the dual agent combination ipilimumab and nivolumab (IPI/NIVO).
