Description
Recurrent self-injurious behavior is a significant clinical concern for correctional staff and mental health practitioners in jails and prisons, presenting risks for patient and staff safety. This presentation will explore risk factors, including situational and environmental factors, that contribute to self-injurious behavior. Principles of behavioral treatment planning, particularly conducting a comprehensive functional assessment of the behavior, will be presented.
