Description
The Intensive Mental Health Unit at Maine State Prison provides services to the most psychiatrically complex individuals within a treatment milieu. This talk will use case examples to illustrate how a multidisciplinary team provides services to residents who utilize a lot of staff resources, engage in self-injury, demonstrate violence, or perseverate. The speaker will share lessons learned throughout the unit's decade-long tenure.
