431 Assessment of Violence: Safer Management Using a Team Approach*
Description

Attendees will learn the basics of violent behavior and the mental health diagnoses and research associated with prediction of violent behavior in adults. This understanding will then be applied to the strategies that have been proven useful to manage violent behavior at the Passaic County Jail, which reduced use-of-force incidents in its population by 25% in the first year of program implementation.
