Description
Medications for opioid use disorder are underutilized in the United States' criminal justice system despite the high prevalence of opioid use disorder in incarcerated populations and clear evidence of MOUD effectiveness. Results from this systematic literature review provide comprehensive, up-to-date evidence regarding MOUD use in the criminal justice system and support the existing literature regarding the benefits for this population.
