Keynote Address: Valuing and Trusting Ourselves: The Antidote to Stress and Burnout

The past several years have not been easy. The pandemic changed us; political rhetoric divides us; our work challenges us; and our relationships are affected. When we feel overwhelmed, we become stressed out and burned out.  We disconnect from ourselves and from others. Positive psychology teaches us that when we tap into internal resources, we find strength during difficult times. In this talk, Dr. Barboza will review the positive effects of engaging in self-trust and valuing ourselves. Participants will learn that trusting ourselves, valuing ourselves, and respecting ourselves can provide a foundation for moving forward with a stronger sense of resilience, confidence, and autonomy. With humor and practical suggestions, Dr. Barboza will help move listeners toward embracing their best selves.
