Description
This discussion aims to enhance understanding of the intricate relationship between hyperactivity and executive functioning within the justice-involved population. The psychological framework promoting Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) provides a foundation for understanding, analyzing, and interpreting human behavior and mental processes. Reviewing past traumatic events and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) allows the interdisciplinary team to begin the journey of recognizing the impact of environmental stimuli and risk factors in an attempt to implement intervention strategies with the end goal of reducing recidivism.
