Description

Justice-Based Interdisciplinary Collective Care is an innovative framework to address mental health needs and behavior of youth offenders. A central focus of the JBICC framework is to bridge the juvenile justice system and community partners and further the potential benefit of a collective and unified approach. With an understanding of the complex needs of youth, the speakers will offer benefits, recommendations, and implications to the implementation of the JBICC framework.

Educational Objectives

  • Identify the eight central risk factors outlined in the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model and its use in assigning appropriate levels of behavioral health interventions
  • Describe the three levels of the Justice-Based Interdisciplinary Collective Care (JBICC) framework
  • Discuss at least three key elements of the JBICC framework for treatment and aftercare planning of youth
