488 Red Flags and Responses: Addressing Drug-Seeking in Corrections*
Description
Most of us with prescriptive authority recognize that prickly feeling we get when a patient pressures us to write them a prescription for something they don't need. How do you translate your intuition into objective clinical language? Participants will learn the hallmarks or "red flags" of drug-seeking behavior, the components of subjective and physical assessment, and how to document findings so that our prescriptive practices reflect impartial and objective clinical decision-making.
