Although cancer is the leading cause of death in prisons, cancer screening is challenging to implement and faces numerous barriers in this setting. This presentation aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of cancer screening in correctional facilities. The speaker will discuss cancer screening guidelines, barriers to cancer screening, strategies to improve screening in correctional facilities, and how to link patients with a new cancer diagnosis to timely cancer care.
