Before a correctional health care professional is sued, they have the opportunity to be their own first line of defense by using best charting practices. Once litigation is underway, the provider and their defense attorney can work together to ensure that the provider?s deposition acts as a secondary line of defense. Through a mock deposition, attendees will come to appreciate the critical nature of their deposition testimony and how sub-par charting practices can expose providers to liability.
