This study examines how medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), particularly injectable buprenorphine, affects facility climate in a correctional setting. Through semi-structured interviews with institutional stakeholders, the analysis identified three key themes: tensions and collaboration between health and custody staff, MOUD's role in stabilizing behavior and safety concerns, and injectable buprenorphine as a potential solution to diversion and logistical challenges.
