Name
206 An Unexpected Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer in a 35-Year-Old Male
Description

This case report presents a 35-year-old African American incarcerated male diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Despite a lack of family history and no recent significant lifestyle changes (other than incarceration), the patient presented with new onset rectal bleeding that was caused by both external hemorrhoids and stage 3 colorectal cancer. This case emphasizes the importance of following all screening guidelines but considering outliers in a vulnerable, underserved population.
