Description

This discussion will explore how a community-based, person-centered program can support returning citizens? recovery and stability by affirming that every participant has employable gifts and valuable contributions to offer their community. This requires educating community members, leaders, and organizations about who returning citizens are and how they can directly contribute to the increased safety of their community. It can also call us into unorthodox thinking and reframing of perceived barriers, particularly during social exchanges and job interviews.
