Description
People who are incarcerated are routinely left out of health research, creating major gaps in patient care. This session introduces correctional staff to the fundamentals of research in carceral settings, including study design, human subject protections, collaboration, and quality improvement. Attendees will gain practical insight into how research can strengthen patient care, support institutional goals, and help build a more relevant evidence base for correctional health care.
