Dr. Kim Ahrens is faculty at the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Adolescent Medicine. She is medical director of the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families’ juvenile rehabilitation system. She has done over 15 years of research with systems-involved youth, including incarcerated youth and youth in foster care.
