Ms. Katie Chiou is a third-year medical student at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is currently working with Dr. Elizabeth Lowenhaupt at the Rhode Island Training School. Ms. Chiou earned her bachelor's degree at Brown University, majoring in science, technology, and society with a focus in medical anthropology and mental health. Her areas of interest include the intersection of qualitative research with trauma and adolescent suicidal behaviors.
