Dr. Stephens is the Dean of the School of Professional Psychology, holds a faculty rank of Professor, and is responsible for all academic functions within the School of Professional Psychology for the University of the Rockies. He supervises all School Faculty, the Director of Clinical Training and the Director of Behavioral Health. He is responsible for maintaining regional accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission and other specialized accrediting bodies. As part of his responsibilities for academic functions Dr. Stephens has developed Concentrations in Correctional/Forensic Psychology and Sport Neuroperformance in the Clinical PsyD Program in the School of Professional Psychology. The Correctional/Forensic Psychology Concentration trains students to become psychologists who are prepared to work in correctional facilities, and to conduct competency and other forensic evaluations. The Sport Neuroperformance Concentration trains students to become psychologists who are prepared to conduct neuropsychological evaluations of athletes who have suffered concussions or other Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), as well as to provide cognitive rehabilitation and support athletes in their return to competition.
