Dr. Asimina Courelli is a general surgery physician resident at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Courelli holds a B.S. in Bioengineering (Biotechnology) and an MD from the University of California, San Diego. She aims to utilize innovative biomedical techniques and technologies to investigate physiological interventions and promote positive patient outcomes. Some of her areas of research include surgical oncology, interventional cardiology, microcirculation, and cognitive neuroscience.
