Dr. Krystin Holmes is the Program Manager of the Jail-Based Competency Restoration Program (JBCR) and Competency Restoration Assessment Unit located at the Harris County Jail. She began her career in community mental health at a local mental health authority serving the adult mental health population. Dr. Holmes then transitioned into inpatient acute care, serving as lead therapist to the child and adolescent units. Upon her exit from the for-profit setting, she returned to community mental health to serve the juvenile forensic population and their families. Dr. Holmes is presently directing the clinical care and administrative duties of JBCR. Dr. Holmes remains active in private practice, academia, and research in order to bring more awareness to underserved populations.
