Ms. Brandi Johnson is the Enhanced Discharge Program Coordinator for the ReConnect Us Program: A Prison Initiative where she works with individuals living with HIV who are being released from South Carolina state prisons and support their reentry into the community. She has nine years of professional case management experience where she specializes in empowering others to maintain their health care, encouraging lifestyle changes, and making a difference in the community to reduce health disparities. She works closely with outside agencies to strengthen relationships and rapport within the community. ReConnect US is jointly operated by South Carolina Department of Public Health (SCDPH), South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC), Prisma Health Immunology Center (PHIC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Lander University and a Master’s degree in Human Service Counseling from Liberty University. She has been a member of the non-profit Delta Sigma Theta Sorority since the spring of 2011. Ms. Johnson's leadership skills expand to her duties as the chair of the youth council at her church. She works as a motivated youth development leader and is responsible for organizing social, educational, and spiritual oriented events.
