Dr. Heather Casady is the associate chief psychologist for the Idaho Department of Correction, working with the chief psychologist to oversee all mental health services provided to the Department?s residents. She has a wide range of correctional mental health experience, having previously worked for Centurion Health, Inc., managing mental health services in a high-security acute mental health unit and overseeing statewide operations of the contracted mental health services. Dr. Casady has also worked with an elderly population in an assisted living environment, which has given her a passion for the aging prison population. She is an active leader in state and national efforts to improve services to this population. She obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed her residency at Oregon Youth Authority. In her free time she plays softball and soccer, and tries to manage her many dogs.
