Dr. Kimberly Dexter is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner affiliated with several universities, including Yale School of Nursing as an assistant clinical professor. She has earned a total of six degrees in various health care fields and graduated from George Mason University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Dr. Dexter currently treats clients with dual diagnoses of serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders. She has worked at local community service board agencies as well as correctional and inpatient hospitalization facilities for both adult and child adolescent populations. She has presented at local, national, and international health care conferences and has published in several journals. Dr. Dexter?s 13 years of mental health care experience has brought her to believe in collaborative care, with core values of listening to clients' concerns and desires and allowing them to provide input on their treatment plans.
