Mr. Thet Mon Kyaw, a junior at the University of Southern California, is pursuing a BS degree in health promotion and disease prevention studies. Passionate about global health equity, he has extensive experience in public health education and research on health care disparities. He currently serves as a student intern for the AltaMed + USC Colorectal Cancer Project, where he contributes to the development of educational materials for African American patients through focus group discussions and qualitative research. Additionally, as an undergraduate researcher at the Klausner Lab, he focuses on hepatitis C case management, assisting patients in accessing treatment and improving data collection for patient-centered health care delivery. Beyond his academic and research commitments, Mr. Kyaw is the Founder of Ku Nyi, an initiative assisting Burmese individuals in navigating their health care needs in the U.S. He aspires to have a humanitarian career working in refugee camps and war-torn areas.
