Dr. Saley T-Uwalaka is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with expertise in developing innovative clinical programs in public health and leading health care teams to improve patient outcomes for medically underserved populations. In her role as director of clinical programs, she focuses on the design and implementation of pharmacist-driven protocols in chronic disease management for the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Corrections. Her work extends to support programs for transitions of care, coordinating solutions to remove barriers to care through patient assistance programs, inmate re-entry programs, and the expansion of medication assisted treatment programs for incarcerated individuals with substance use disorder across Maryland. Dr. T-Uwalaka earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in 2016, then completed a pharmacy practice residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In June 2024, she completed a senior fellowship at Howard University College of Pharmacy.
