Dr. Anita Wilson is the Northeast Regional Medical Director with YesCare. She transitioned to this role earlier this year after serving as correctional medical consultant with the North Carolina Division of Public Health - Communicable Disease Branch where she aided in the state’s COVID response and developed programs and resources for North Carolina's incarcerated populations. Dr. Wilson is a board-certified family physician who received her degree of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2004. She transitioned to corrections from private practice in 2013 with 12 years of correctional medicine experience, including the roles of former chief medical officer for North Carolina's prisons and regional medical director for Alabama's prisons.
