Ms. Laura Musselman is Director of Development and Communications for the Humane Prison Hospice Project and an advocate for compassionate end-of-life care. After a career as a college philosophy instructor, she transitioned into hospice work and trained as an end-of-life doula through the International End-of-Life Doula Association. Since 2018, she has served in a variety of hospice and vigil volunteer roles, including work with incarcerated individuals at the Central California Women’s Facility. Ms. Musselman’s work focuses on dignity, access, and equity in end-of-life care, particularly for underserved populations. She is also a trauma-support specialist and writer whose work explores community care and the human experience of dying.
