Dr. Ramon Bassa is executive medical director at RMC Hospital and regional medical director at the Reception and Medical Center in Lake Butler, Florida. He provides clinical, educational, and operational leadership to physicians and other health care professionals at the facility. Dr. Bassa has more than 40 years of experience as a physician, with specialties in internal medicine and emergency medicine. He has worked with the Florida Department of Corrections for 11 years and has extensive experience in patient care and health care management. Before joining the department, Dr. Bassa directed several institutions. He has a strong interest in teaching and supporting the professional development of others.
