Dr. Mark Fenig is a board-certified emergency medicine physician, educator, and health justice advocate. He is cofounder and Executive Director of the Medical Justice Alliance, a national nonprofit that mobilizes physicians to provide pro bono expert medical testimony on behalf of incarcerated individuals. Dr. Fenig earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University. He currently serves as an attending physician at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook University. His work focuses on emergency medicine, public health, medical education, and health equity.
