Dr. Michele DiTomas serves as Chief Physician and Surgeon and Medical Director at California Medical Facility within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Board certified in family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, she has spent more than a decade advancing correctional health care reform and improving services for aging and medically complex incarcerated populations. Dr. DiTomas has collaborated with correctional systems across the country to develop compassionate end-of-life care programs and improve care for geriatric patients. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, humane treatment, and evidence-based correctional health care practices.
