Mr. Cody Richards is an advanced practice social worker and clinical substance abuse counselor with lived experience in recovery. He brings professional expertise and personal experience to his work supporting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders in correctional settings. Mr. Richards serves as a regional behavioral health and addiction recovery manager, overseeing behavioral health services across 22 Wisconsin county jails and developing addiction recovery programs, including medication-assisted treatment, in correctional facilities nationwide. He is a CCHP and has worked directly with the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department. His experience in clinical practice, correctional health care, and recovery services informs his work related to opioid use disorder, treatment, and recovery.
