Dr. Robert Lawrence is chief medical officer for the Alaska Department of Corrections. He has extensive experience developing cost-effective approaches to delivering essential health care for justice-involved populations. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2003. After completing his residency, he practiced family medicine in rural Alaska before joining the Alaska Department of Corrections in Anchorage in 2013. He holds a master's degree in education and a master's degree in bioethics.
